OFFSEASON CHATTER!

Hey Matt it's Oz here for another edition of The Blazer Files! So I listened to the http://www.portlandtrailblazers.com/ podcast from May 28th and a lot of things were discussed and I'd like to share those with you and get a response back. Maybe this time you can just post your comment on this blog rather than replying via email but whatever floats your boat. They talked a lot about the upcoming June NBA draft and what the blazers should do and what they shouldn't do. They said the blazers have a lot of picks in the draft and could trade away those picks to pick up a verteran point gaurd or move up in the draft to get a guy like Ty Lawson. Ty Lawson would be a nice fit in the Northwest. That is a pipe dream but that is something that could happen. They are saying that this is the year that tbe draft for the blazers and KP and CO isn't a huge deal because they haev a nice core and can address needs in free agency. I don't know if I really buy that theory but that's an opinion and I respect it. The names being tossed around that are possible options for Portland to snag up in free agency are guys like Ramon Sessions, Mike Connoley and others. There has been talk about possibly trading away Bayless, Sergio, Rudy,Tlaw or Frye and get some really good talent. Parting with some of those players would hurt but if we get a good deal would be great. However I don't see the Blazers trading Rudy or Bayless the others are certianly up for grabs. The popular name the Blazers are looking at his Tyler Hansburough and he could be a solid player for Portland. They are also talking about Joel the Thrilla having a much reduced role next year because of ODENS suspected increase in minutes as the starting center. They are talking about Joel to be dealt in 2010 but anything can happen. These were the thoughts of the dot com guys what are your thoughts Matthew Green? Well until next time may the Oz always be with you and go Blazers!

The Point Guards

Hey Matt you will be the only one reading this potentially so I'll be doing this blog just for you. Now I just sat down here at the computer caught up on this weeks edition of Blazers Courtside a nice tasty 2 hour blazer phenomn. Now they were talking about what point guards Portland would go after. There was a national story saying the Blazers could quite possibily land Andre Miller. What are your thoughts on Andre Miller the running UTE! I think he would be a nice fit he would start over Blake. Blake is a good backup no disrespect but he had a hell of a year. Andre Miller is a good floor general and can score inside and outside. He's a good guy and would fit in quite nicely. The other couple names on the list were Steve Nash and Jason Kidd and others but those were the biggest names in the discussion. Do you think the Blazers should go after one of these aging VETS or should they go ahead and land Andre Miller. Thoughts around Portland is that the Blazers are trying to ship off TLAW and let Sergio walk which I woulodn't have a big issue with. What do you think Portland needs to do in the NBA draft next month they got quite a few picks they can package those picks to move up in the draft. Kevin Prichard AKA KP may do this he's a genius GM I'm glad he's in Portland. Well MATTY G these are the questions I have posed I hope to see a commetn back! Well until next time may the Oz always be with you so long GO BLAZE!

The Kickoff

Hello everybody my name is Ozzie aka OZ the WIZ. I am a Portland Trailblazers fan in Spokane Washington USA. I have decided I'll be doing blogs about the blazers in the off season and during the season after every game with my analysis. My views are epic I bring a lot to the table especially funny quotes and raw emotion. So if you think I won't criticise think again I can be a fan of blazer nation but at the same time criticism is part of the game plan. This blog will probably only be read by my buddy Matt Green but that's okay. Well guys stay tuned for more of The Blazer Files in weeks to come. Well this has been Oz and he is signing off!
